Our evening Christmas eve meal table set.

Some things will never change in the Polish Catholic calendar, nor the Krawczyk family tradition.

Although it is very poignant for me, all those happy memories with my parents, I am so pleased my family still maintains this tradition.

Ania insists we have this every year which pleases me so much.

Unusually I was very well prepared. Mushroom soup made in advance, poppy seed cake baked and everything else all done and dusted. I even made the family Salata ready for Christmas, although we can't eat it on Christmas eve due to it containing Wiejska sausage.

The Holy bread mum left for me is more than enough to last all our lifetimes and it is also another nice memory knowing she and dad are always with me, especially on Christmas eve.

Merry Christmas for 2022 and lets hope 2023 will get better.
