Are Poles obsessive compulsive or just like things to be right?

Polak's more tension than a rope bridge.

Are Poles a little obsessive at times? I know I am. Is this why they make such good conscientious hard workers?
When I started this website and figured out what to do, I have been obsessively changing it around almost daily because I want it to be structured properly and look nice.

That's me above in 1991. Fitting a new front wing to my VW Beetle.

A backstreet garage would fit it first then spray it on the car (no paint underneath) within 3 months rust would have set in. Not me.  Pre-fit it to ensure everything lines up, do some jiggling until it does, clean it up, prime it about 3 coats, sand between coats then spray on about 3 or so top coats sanding between each and thinning down the final coat a little for better shine (this is Cellulose paint). Repeat with more paint if required finish not up to scratch. See that took me the whole day- obsessive or just doing it properly?

My mum was the same with sewing or cooking or anything in fact, everything she ever did had to be just right or she would get annoyed or upset or both.

Dad was perfect with his woodwork and building, decorating and so on, even with one hand not as able as the other, yet to this day I can't match his woodwork perfection. No wonder he was a quality inspector at Remploy, best man for the job.

When I go to a continental Deli here that sold Polish food, you will find the inevitable queue of anxious Poles desperate to get that last Kabanos! You could cut the tension with a sharp knife.

Sadly I also find some people very rude in such respects. They dive in, shout across you to the person behind the counter and basically barge their way past you! I hate rudeness. After 30 years I don't she any change.

Watching The Travel man 48 hours in Krakow recently on the TV, I actually saw the same rudeness over there!
Why do people do it!! Grrrr

Of course I used a very large brush to tar the entire population which is totally unfair.

Other than queues my experiences have been the nicest most accommodating people you could ever meet, especially out in the countryside.

Actually imagine the London bubble, inside the bubble during rush hour tube trips, you see the worst in humanity, outside of that situation the real people emerge.

That's some decking I built then agonised over (below). Still not 100% happy with it and you should see the look on my face when autumn arrived and covered it in leaves! Aaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggghhhhh
